Kamala Harris closed out the final night of the Democratic National Convention with a formal speech accepting her nomination for presidential candidate.
The convention, held in Chicago, has featured star-studded live performances and agenda-setting speeches from Democratic leaders so far.
The cast of speakers included: Governors Roy Cooper and Gretchen Whitmer; Senators Elizabeth Warren, Bob Casey and Tammy Baldwin; Rev. Al Sharpton and Gabby Giffords, a former politician and gun control advocate.
The theme of the night was “For Our Future.” Harris is expected to share her story and her platform to an audience of millions.
