SA’s corruption emergency | Communications department seeks to recoup R1.6m in fees

JOHANNESBURG – Communications and Digital Technologies Minister Solly Malatsi is cracking the whip in his department.
He’s removed two Universal Service and Access Agency of South Africa board members.
The department says Daphne Kula-Rantho and Boitumelo Mabusela failed to obtain approval to conduct paid work outside their official roles.
Malatsi says strict measures have been put in place to prevent any malfeasance from happening again.
